Withdraw or change an offer on Vinted in 2026: the buyer's guide
Yes, you can withdraw an offer sent to Vinted, but only as long as the seller has not accepted it. To do this, go to Menu > My offers > Once completed, open the offer concerned and choose “Withdraw offer”: it is then canceled without charge. There is no “edit” button: to change the amount, you remove the pending offer and then send a new one. On the other hand, as soon as an offer is accepted, it constitutes a purchase commitment: you can no longer freely withdraw it and must go through an order cancellation request.

1. Remove a pending offer
You quoted a price on an item, then changed your mind— you found better elsewhere, or realized that the total exceeds your budget. As long as the seller has not yet accepted, the offer remains withdrawable. Operation is simple: open the application menu, go to “My offers”, then in the tab “Performed” which lists all the proposals you have sent. Tap the relevant offer, then use the “Remove offer” option.
The offer then disappears: the seller can no longer accept it, and you are not committed to anything. It’s free of charge, and it leaves no negative mark on your profile. Good to know: an unsuccessful offer ends up expiring after a few days anyway, but removing it manually is cleaner if you are sure that you no longer want the item.
2. Edit an offer: the real method
Many buyers are looking for an “edit my offer” button... which does not exist. Vinted's logic is different: an offer is a firm proposal at a given amount. To offer another price, you must therefore withdraw the current offer (previous step), then send a new one at the desired amount.
Please note, however: each shipment counts towards the quota of offers authorized on the item (see below). It is therefore better to think about your proposal before sending it, rather than going back and forth multiple times. To build an offer that is likely to succeed the first time, rely on our guide to negotiation on Vinted.
3. When the offer is accepted: it is too late to withdraw it
This is the essential point to understand. The moment the seller accepts your offer, it turns into a purchase commitment: payment is generally triggered and the order created. At this point, the option “Withdraw offer” disappears— you are no longer in a negotiation, but in a transaction.
If you still want to give up, it is no longer a question of withdrawing an offer but of cancelling an order, which requires the seller's agreement as long as the parcel has not left. The procedure to follow, any costs and reimbursement deadlines are detailed in our article for cancel a Vinted order. Moral: Only make an offer on an item that you are actually willing to buy at the price offered.

4. The limit on the number of offers per item
To avoid endless negotiations and price harassment, Vinted limits the number of offers and counter-offers possible on the same item. Once this quota is reached, you can no longer offer a new price: all that remains is to purchase at the displayed price, or to switch to another item.
This is one more reason to take care of your first offer. A reasonable proposal — neither too low as to offend, nor too close to the displayed price— is more likely to be accepted straight away. On the seller's side, understanding this mechanism also helps to react quickly: we explain it in our article on the accepted offer and the price reduction.
5. What if you are the seller?
The logic is symmetrical. As a seller, you can ignore or decline an offer, make a counter-offer, or accept it. But once you have accepted a buyer’s offer, you agree to sell them the item at the agreed price; going back on it again implies a cancellation, which weighs on your reputation if it is repeated. So only accept an offer if the amount really suits you.
6. Negotiate just so you don't have to back out
The best way to never have to withdraw an offer is to calibrate it well from the start. Before quoting a price, include the total cost of your purchase: item price, shipping costs, and buyer protection fee. An offer that seems fair to you on the price of the item alone may exceed your budget once these costs are added.
Also check that the item suits you (size, condition, measurements) before offering: an accepted offer turns into a firm purchase, and a change of mind at this stage does not give rise to any right to reimbursement. By making thoughtful offers, you keep the negotiation flowing… and a good reputation as a serious buyer.
FAQ
Is the seller notified if I withdraw my offer?
Removing an unaccepted offer simply removes it from its current proposals. There is no penalty or accusatory message: it is a neutral and cost-free action provided by the platform.
My offer expired by itself: should I do something?
No. An unaccepted offer automatically expires after a few days; you are then not committed to anything. You can make a new one if the article still interests you, within the limit of the quota of offers.
Can I withdraw an offer after payment is made?
No. If payment is gone, you are no longer in negotiation but in an order. You must then request a cancellation, subject to the seller's agreement as long as the item has not been shipped.
